Can you tell me about the engine?

Under the hood of the all-new Ford Ranger, you'll find a 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine. The turbocharged engine is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and produces 270 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. In the city, you can expect to get 21 mpgs and 26 mpgs on the highway. The Ranger has a best-in-class payload capacity of 1,860 pounds and a towing capacity up to 7,500 pounds. An available trailer tow package offers a Class IV trailer hitch and a four-pin/seven-pin wiring harness. Ford also offers an FX4 off-road package that includes front tow hooks, upgraded shocks, and suspension tuning, off-road tires, an electronic locking rear axle, a terrain management system, and trail control.

Is the Ranger safe?

Ford's Co-Pilot 360 comes with lane-keeping system, blind spot information system with cross-traffic and coverage for both the truck and trailer, and pre-collision warning system that can detect cars and pedestrians in front of the vehicle and brake on its own to prevent collision so you'll feel safe in the 2019 Ford Ranger. Other standard safety and security features include spare tire and wheel lock, SOS post-crash alert system, four-wheel anti-lock brakes, advancetrac with roll stability control, child-proof rear-door-locks, and child seat tether anchors.
